Austin Purviance
Personal Trainer
Austin began his fitness journey in 2007 when he started lifting weights to prepare for high school baseball and football. After high school, he continued to lift weights throughout his college years at UNC Chapel Hill where he studied chemistry and biology. After college, Austin spent a year on the Park City Ski Patrol, which shifted his focus to more of a wholistic training regiment, one that prioritizes flexibility training and longevity. He moved back to his hometown of Winston-Salem, where he completed 2 years of medical school at Wake Forest before deciding a career as a physician was not for him. He maintains a real desire to help people become the best and healthiest versions of themselves. Since leaving medical school, Austin got certified as a yoga instructor and personal trainer and enjoys sharing his passion for fitness with others. Now days, Austin is an avid surfer who values the importance of finding balance between strength and flexibility training in and out of the gym.
