She is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor who specializes in functional strength training, exercising with health conditions or chronic illnesses, post injury fitness, sports performance, as well as overall health and fitness. She got her passion for fitness and athletics as a child doing ballet, sports, and playing backyard football with her brother as the “athletic trainer”. Emma graduated high school early to get her CNA license which eventually led her to work as a physical therapist technician. Before becoming a personal trainer, she worked at the University of Virginia’s Children’s Hospital in Orthopedics These experiences led her to love and to grow her knowledge with helping people with injury prevention and during the rehabilitation process post injury. In the process of gaining this experience is also when she met her husband who is a physical therapist in the Navy and also a certified athletic trainer. These experiences as well as her own personal experience, led Emma to learn a lot about exercising with health conditions. Emma has her bachelor’s degree in health science and is working on her master’s degree in healthcare administration. Emma found her love for weightlifting and exercise as a teenager when she was looking for a way to improve her mental health as well as physical health. These different experiences really helped shape her skills and interests as a personal trainer. Emma loves a challenge and wants to help each person reach their fitness and health goals.
