
Gil has always had a love for sports and fitness. In high school, Gil ran track, boxed, and played football. Since his days as a teen, Gil has enjoyed resistance training-centered exercise. Gil likes to focus on muscular endurance, muscle hypertrophy, and muscle strength. Right after high school (2011), Gil decided to join the Marine Corps. As a Marine, Gil was a Helicopter Door Gunner/ Crew Chief. During his time in the Marine Corps, he was required to maintain a high fitness performance level. After stepping into a leadership role Gil programmed and instructed physical training sessions for his platoon. Leaving the Marine Corps, he maintained his passion for fitness and its positive effects on mental and physical health.
